*** This Grocery list assumes you have kitchen staples such as oils/butter & a well-stocked spice cabinet.
It also combines the amounts of any ingredients that are used more than once.
GROCERY LIST: Chicken w/ Cream Sauce
- Chicken (thighs, but use any cut): 1.5 lbs 
- Mushrooms: 8 oz (Normal-sized package) or more! 
- Heavy Cream: 1 cup 
- Parmesan Cheese (Shredded): 1/2 cup 
- Parsley (Fresh) **Optional: 1 Tbsp 
- Lemon Juice: 1.5 Tbsp 
- Garlic (minced): 6 cloves 
INGREDIENTS
For the Chicken & Rubbed Marinade
- Chicken (I like Thighs, but use any cut): 1.5 lbs 
- Olive oil: 2 Tbsp 
- Lemon Juice: 1.5 Tbsp 
- Garlic (minced): 4 cloves 
- Thyme: 1 tsp 
- Rosemary: 1 tsp 
- Salt and pepper 
For the Creamy Mushroom Sauce
- Mushrooms: 8 oz (a normal-sized package) or more if you love them! 
- Heavy Cream: 1 cup 
- Parmesan Cheese (Shredded): 1/2 cup 
- Olive oil: 1 tbsp 
- Garlic (minced): 4 cloves 
- Parsley (chopped): 1 tsp 
- Thyme: 1 tsp 
- Rosemary: 1 tsp 
- Nutmeg: 1 tsp 
- Salt and pepper 
INSTRUCTIONS
For the Chicken
- Prepare the Chicken. Pat the Chicken dry with paper towels & trim off excess fat (if you want less fat). - Season the Chicken with Lemon Juice (1.5 Tbsp) and Salt. 
- Let it sit for ~15 mins. 
 
- Prepare the foods - Clean and slice Mushrooms (8oz) 
- Mince Garlic (8 cloves - we love garlic) 
 
- Combine and rub the Chicken with: - Garlic (4 cloves, minced) 
- Thyme (1 tsp) 
- Rosemary (1 tsp) 
- Pepper 
 
- Sear the Chicken - In a large skillet/pan (medium-high temp), heat Olive Oil (1-2 Tbsp) - Sear Chicken in batches until browned & no longer pink in the center. (~ 8 min/side) 
- Set aside and keep warm. - Transfer cooked Chicken to a plate. 
For the Creamy Mushroom Sauce
- Cook the Mushrooms. In the same pan add Olive Oil (1-2 Tbsp) & Mushrooms (8 oz). Season with salt and pepper. - Cook until soft (~ 3 mins). 
 
- Add seasoning: - Garlic (minced): 4 cloves 
- Parsley: 1 tsp 
- Thyme: 1 tsp 
- Rosemary: 1 tsp - SautΓ© until fragrant (~ 1 min). 
 
 
- Make it creamy. Slowly stir in Heavy Cream (1 cup). Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat. - Continue cooking until sauce has thickened slightly. 
 
- Make it cheesy by adding: - Nutmeg (1 tsp) 
- Parmesan Cheese (1/2 cup). - Stir occasionally while the cheese melts into the sauce (~4 mins). 
 
 
- Join the chicken with the sauce. Return chicken to the pan. Taste test and season with additional salt and pepper. - Serve immediately
